Denver Bike Lawyer
We bike. Lots of people bike. Biking should be fun, not dangerous. We all know the danger from drivers texting or otherwise being inattentive. Most of us have been yelled at, had things thrown at us, or have been cut off by drivers who think they go first. We relish representing bicyclists who have been injured in accidents, cited with traffic infractions, fallen on poorly kept roads, or been assaulted by motorists.
This is Colorado law:
The driver of a motor vehicle overtaking a bicyclist proceeding in the same direction shall allow the bicyclist at least a three-foot separation between the right side of the driver’s vehicle, including all mirrors or other projections, and the left side of the bicyclist at all times.
Every person riding a bicycle or electrical assisted bicycle shall have all of the rights and duties applicable to the driver of any other vehicle.
