Career Overview

1998 to Present. Founding partner, Stutheit & Gartland, P.C. Prior to 1998, Brian Stutheit was a partner in a Denver Tech Center law firm where he specialized in probate, employment, and insurance defense (construction law and professionals’ negligence).

The firm and Mr. Stutheit handle all aspects of construction law.  This includes construction defects, drafting and review of construction, remodeling and repair contracts, real estate fraud or failure to disclose defects, and mechanics liens.

Mr. Stutheit’s other areas of practice are estate planning, wills, trusts and powers of attorney, probate of decedent estates, guardianships, conservatorships, and probate disputes, and unemployment law. He has participated in more than 150 unemployment appeals. Because of his expertise is unemployment law, he has been interviewed by 9 News, the Denver Channel and Colorado Public Radio.

Mr. Stutheit’s practice is not limited to one side or the other. He represents both property owners and contractors, real estate buyers and sellers, employees and employers.
